			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Island Rec&#8217;s Music on the Lawn Summer Concert Series.</strong></p>
<p><strong>Held on the museum lawn Wednesday evenings from 6:30 &#8211; 8:15</strong></p>
<p>Make it a picnic by bringing blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of great music. Just make sure to pack it in and pack it out. <strong>Please, leave pets and alcohol at home.</strong></p>
<p><strong>July 11 - <strong> </strong></strong><strong>Crème Tangerin</strong>e creates a dynamic live Beatles music experience filled with energy, tone, humor and spontaneity known only from the Beatles.</p>
<p><strong>July 18 -</strong> <strong>Ravin Wolf</strong> shows are complete with swampy slide, acoustic rock-fusion guitar grooves, stellar vocal harmony synergy, work-class lead guitar work, alongside their own roots of blues &amp; folk jam-rock infused originals!</p>
<p><strong>July 25 -</strong> <strong>Ruby Dee and the Snakehandlers</strong> is a high energy  four-piece combo that plays a America brimming over with the sounds of Texas honky-tonk, Bakersfield twang, Memphis rockabilly, Western swing and good old-fashioned rock’n’roll.</p>
<p><strong>August 1 -</strong> <strong>Soul Purpose</strong> is steeped in a true Soul/R&amp;B tradition that offers a combination of dance hits and soulful sounds with a great four piece horn section!  This is a group of talented musicians that will get the party started!</p>
<p><strong>August 8 -</strong> <strong>Chameleons</strong> a favorite with locals they play a mix of familiar rock and pop tunes from the 80’s, up through the present. Their show is chock full of danceable songs along with a fun, entertaining style.</p>

<p><strong><strong>Sat, May 19th, 3 &#8211; 5 pm</strong>—</strong><strong><em> </em>Evergreen Lighthouses, Washington &amp; Oregon </strong>with author and lighthouse historian Elinor DeWire. An armchair tour of the lighthouses of Washington and Oregon, past and present. Hear true tales of lightkeeper families, their animal companions, shipwrecks, unusual events even lighthouse ghosts! Learn about ongoing preservation efforts and touring opportunities at Patos Island, Turn Point and Lime Kiln Lighthouses.<strong> </strong> <strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Seating will be limited</span></strong>. Suggested donation $5, museum members no charge. <em><strong>Business partners Harrison House Suites, Tucker House B&amp;B and Coho Restaurant.</strong></em></p>
<p><strong>Sat, May 26th, 1 &#8211; 4 pm—</strong><strong>Friday Harbor’s Post-War and Territorial-Era History. </strong></p>
<p><strong>Location: </strong><strong>Meet at the SJC Courthouse on Second St. </strong></p>
<p><strong></strong>Meet Sandy Strehlou, Town of F.H. Historic Preservation Coordinator, and Kevin Loftus, Director of the San Juan Historical Museum. Tour one of FH’s Post-War neighborhoods and discover how the architecture of the recent past (1940s to 1970s) reflects those times. The walk ends with a private tour of the more distant past at the San Juan Historical  Museum.</p>
<p><strong>Weds., May 30th, 7 &#8211; 8 pm</strong> - <strong><em>The History and Restoration of the  Royal Marine Blockhouse at English Camp</em></strong></p>
<p><strong>Location: San Juan Island Library</strong></p>
<p>This summer, maintenance crews of the San Juan Island National Historical Park will disassemble the bottom story of the Royal Marine blockhouse and restore it literally from the ground (or beach) up. Join Park Historian, and Historical Society President, Mike Vouri for a photo history of this iconic San Juan  Island structure, from its days as a guardhouse to old curiosity in the Crook family era to a prized historic structure in the National Park Service inventory.</p>
