The San Juan Historical Museum is located on the grounds of the once expansive 445-acre James King farm. The museum consists of eight buildings, four of which are from the original farm. The original structures are the 1894 James King Farmhouse,  carriage house, root cellar and milk house. The original San Juan County Jail, a barn, Scribner log cabin and  Etta Egeland Resource Center round out the remaining structures. Each building houses displays and exhibits of early life on San Juan Island. Stroll our grounds, enjoy a picnic lunch and take a step back in time. Click here for detailed descriptions of each building. Read more here about our Gift Shop.  Our Museum Staff and Board can be seen here.
